Today’s Style: I’m Dreaming Of A White Tie Christmas

  • Tuxedo: Revolver
  • Bow Tie: Nicole Miller
  • Shirt: Borrelli
  • Cufflinks: Cuff Daddy
  • Vest: Tuxedo Park
  • Socks: English Laundry
  • Shoes: Steve Madden

Tonight was my company’s holiday party. Given what I wear on a daily basis, I felt like I needed to take it up a notch, so I went with white tie. The tails and fleur de lis tuxedo shirt studs were a big hit, and everyone had wondered what I would do to top my normal dress. They were suitably impressed. :)

I had a lovely time dancing and talking with my coworkers, and after the party I went ice skating! It was a lovely evening.

I love that this shows three men of different sizes all with great fitting tuxedos. I would love it even more if there was even more variety, but it’s still good to see.

Today’s Style: Prince Gumball

  • Tailcoat: Raffini
  • Bow Tie: Nicole Miller
  • Vest: Tuxedo Park
  • Shirt: Perry Ellis
  • Cufflinks: Custom
  • Pants; American Eagle
  • Socks: Express
  • Shoes: Giorgio Brutini

After Animazement, I wanted to redo my Prince Gumball cosplay based off of this art. I bought a tailcoat and vest and dyed them and had most of the rest of the pieces. I made cupcake cufflinks and of course topped it off with my wig and crown. It still needs some refinement, but overall I’m pleased with how it came out!

If you’re at Dragon*Con and see a Prince Gumball that looks like this, it’s me!

Today’s Style: Part 9 of the X-Men challenge from leahstuff, Anonymous and licensetocreep. White Queen.

  • Tailcoat: Stephon Geoffrey
  • Tie Clip: Custom
  • Vest: Tuxedo Park
  • Cravat: Fitting and Proper
  • Shirt: Borrelli
  • Cufflinks: Vivienne Westwood
  • Pants; Saks Fifth Avenue
  • Socks: Diesel Sweeties
  • Shoes: Giorgio Brutini

The White Queen is pretty straight forward. I went with all white and crowns as my themes. I replaced the cape she often wears with tails and her corset with a vest. After that things started to fall into place.

As usual, I looked up poses for the character and, much like with Mystique, there are a number of pretty absurd and quite frankly physically improbable poses out there. I included a few here, but some of the ones I tried were too ridiculous. Let’s just say I was in a lot of pain and it wasn’t flattering.
