Style with a gothic edge.

Today’s Style: Part 2 of the Disney Villains challenge from sassystraightfriend. Jafar from Alladin.

  • Suit: Corporate Vampire by Lip Service
  • Tie: Black Peace Now
  • Shirt: Express
  • Cane: Dragon*Con
  • Lamp: Borrowed
  • Belt: King Baby
  • Socks: Sock Dreams
  • Shoes: Giorgio Brutini

For Jafar, I tried to pull in three different themes - his color scheme, the fact that he’s an evil sorcerer and, of course, the lamp. As soon as I started thinking about this theme, the suit immediately came to mind. It works with the color scheme well and I love the way it looks. I then added the shirt, pocket square and shoes to complete the red and black color scheme, and I love the way the tie works with the suit, so that had to be included. The pirate skull and sword on the socks were the closest I could find in my wardrobe to evil sorcerer, so they were in. Then I added the cane for my staff (dragons instead of snakes) and borrowed the lamp to complete the look.
